Frequently Asked Questions

How long do sessions typically take?

Standard individual sessions are typically 60 minutes long. Sessions of 90 minutes work well for some people.

Group sessions are typically 2 hours long with a short break.

Forest bathing walks last 2 to 3 hours depending on numbers of participants.

What can I expect at first contact?

You are welcome to arrange a free initial consultation over telephone or videocall. Over 30 minutes we can explore what kind of support you are seeking and how I might be able to help. It is possible to meet for a more intensive consultation if you are unsure what is happening for you and what you might need.

If I believe your needs might be best met by another provider, I can support you to access them. Otherwise we can consider how to proceed and schedule accordingly. You do not have to decide anything during your initial consultation.

Where will I be seen?

If you live local to Schaffhausen, we can arrange to meet face-to-face. The majority of clients work with me online as they are based elsewhere.

Bespoke training and forest bathing for groups and teams can take place face-to-face in different locations.

What if I change my mind?

Access to my service is entirely voluntary and you are free to change your mind at any time.

A 24-hour notice period is required for cancellation of individual sessions, otherwise standard rate fees apply.

Places on public group events or courses are paid for in advance and can be cancelled for free up to two weeks prior to the start of the group. During the 7-14 day period prior, refunds of 50% are offered in the event of cancellation. Refunds are not possible within 7 days of the course beginning.

Separate cancellation terms are available for bespoke group event and course arrangements, please enquire.

Do you accept health insurance?

The standard hourly rate for individual sessions is 100CHF per hour. It is not possible to arrange payment via insurance providers at this time. Fees have been set with this in mind.

Group sessions open to the public will always cost significantly less than the standard hourly rate.

What do you do with my information?

Data regarding your engagement with my wellbeing service is stored and safeguarded in accordance with the EU's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) as a point of good practice.

The details of your individual sessions are confidential. Group members and forest bathing clients are also required to abide by the rule of confidentiality.

What you share in the course of your engagement with the wellbeing service remains confidential unless there are concerns about immediate risk of harm to yourself or others. At that point, it may be necessary for me to contact your family doctor, another relevant health professional or safeguarding services.
